Artwork We prefer the following image formats: .EPS, .AI, .CDR (vector format with fonts converted to outlines or curves). We will accept any PC compatible file, but there will be a slight fee to reformat your artwork. Please, no compressed Mac files. Why is a vector art file preferred? A vector file is made up of mathematically-defined geometric shapes-lines, objects and fills. Because of this, enlarging or reducing the artwork is a clean process... no jagged edges like you see in raster artwork. If you are sending vector/print ready artwork (.AI, .CDR, .EPS) with embedded fonts please be sure that all fonts are converted to curves or outlines to avoid any font substitution. Though conversion from vector to raster is easily accomplished, raster conversion to vector is difficult, and often not possible especially when converting fonts. Raster Images (.tiff for example) are produced by digital scanners, digital cameras, or by pixel editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop. Raster images are made up of matrix (grid) or a bitmap of digital picture elements (pixels). When enlarging or reducing the artwork, the edges will take on a jagged, or pixellated look. We want you to have the best imprint quality possible. If you would like an exact color match please indicate desired PMS colors. All artwork without exact PMS colors will be matched as closely as possible but exact color matching is not guaranteed. Extra charges may apply for PMS color matching. If specific colors are not specified then we will use stock ink colors at no additional charge.
